On this March 8, we salute all the women of the anarchosyndicalist movement.
Ours is a movement which aims to develop an egalitarian and libertarian society. Sexism is one of the forms of discrimination and hierarchy that needs to be eradicated and there is no better place to start than where we may encounter it. In many social movements we can experience de-facto leadership patterns which favor males and in many ways discourage women from being equally valued in organizations. We need not only to question the need for de-facto leaders but also to change our notions of what is valuable when when we see such dynamics.
Let us never fail to treat such issues seriously and let's neutralize anyone who tries to enable forms of male domination.
Our liberation is not just a matter of class struggle but of a complete social transformation where we treat each other as equals and all forms of privelege and overthrown. And for us, this state of respect and egalitarian behaviour must happen in the here and now.
Against all forms of hierarchy – not just the state and capitalism.
Durante 12 días, a principios de febrero, miembros del Secretariado de la AIT visitaron Australia. Se llevaron a cabo una serie de eventos públicos, talleres y visitas a gente anarquista y libertaria. El viaje promocionaba las ideas del anarcosindicalismo y presentaba los tipos de acciones obreras que son posibles, utilizando como ejemplo las acciones exitosas de las Secciones de la AIT. También era un viaje de buena voluntad y solidaridad con ocasión del 30 aniversario de la ASF-AIT, nuestra Sección australiana, y de los 60 años de la AIT en Australia (tanto la CNT española y búlgara en el exilio contaban con organizaciones en Australia e intentaron sacar adelante su legado y difundir las ideas anarcosindicalistas en este país).
Se celebraron eventos públicos en las principales ciudades de Australia -Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne y Perth. Las charlas contaron todas con buena asistencia, no solamente de los miembros y simpatizantes de la ASF, sino también de variedad de gentes libertarias. También hubo talleres y discusiones. Un evento fue auspiciado por Jura Books y se celebraron discusiones en el Club Anarquista de Melbourne. Los miembros de la ASF y del Secretariado también visitaron al último veterano vivo de la Revolución Española en el exilio y a otro activista de toda la vida del exilio de CNT, nacido en el exilio. En nombre de la Asociación Internacional de los Trabajadores, les deseamos mucha salud y felicidad y les agradecimos su trabajo a la hora de llevar las ideas del anarcosindicalismo y la AIT a Australia.
For 12 days at the beginning of February, members of the lWA Secretariat visited Australia. A series of public events, workshops and visits with anarchist and libertarian people took place. The trip promoted the ideas of anarchosyndicalism and presented the types of workers actions that are possible, using successful actions of the lWA Sections as an example. It was also a trip of goodwill and solidarity on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the ASF-lWA, our Australian section, and 60 years of the lWA in Australia. (Both the Bulgarian and Spanish CNT in exile had organizations in Australia and tried to carry on the legacy and spread anarchosyndicalist ideas in that country.)
Public events were held in the largest cities in Australia – Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The talks were well attended, not only by members and supporters of the ASF, but by a variety of other libertarian people. Workshops and discussions also took place. An event was hosted by Jura Books and discussions took place in the Melbourne Anarchist Club. Members of the ASF and the Secretariat also visited the last living veteran of the Spanish Revolution in exile and another long time activist of the CNT exile, born in exile. On behalf of the lnternational Workers Association, we wished them much health and happiness and thanked them for their work in bringing the ideas of anarchosyndicalism and the lWA to Australia.
Desde el 13 de noviembre, Francia se encuentra en “estado de emergencia”, durante el cual la protesta ha sido criminalizada y muchos han sido detenidos y sujetos a arresto domiciliario. Uno de ellos es nuestro compañero Ali de la CNT-AIT, que fue puesto bajo arresto domiciliario a las 15:30h del 28 de noviembre.
Desde la AIT, denunciamos rotundamente las acciones del estado. Recordamos que son los diferentes estados y zelotes religiosos los que se están peleando entre sí para conseguir el control de la gente y dividirla. Todos nosotros somos víctimas potenciales. Debemos unirnos y derrocar a los tiranos -todos los que existen y todos los que desearían serlo.
¡No al estado de emergencia y viva la insurgencia internacional!
Since November 13, France has been in a „state of emergency”, during which protest has been criminalized and many have been arrested and subject to house arrest. One of them is our comrade Ali from the CNT-AlT, who was put under house arrest at 3:30 AM on November 28.
From the lWA, we roundly denounce the actions of the state. We remind that it is different states and religious zealots who are battling against each other to gain control over people and divide them. All of us are potential victims. We must unite and bring down the tyrants – all those existing and all those who wish to be.
Down with the state of emergency and long live international insurgency!
OZ Dive maky es una ONG de Bratislava, Priama akcia está iniciando acciones para protestar por el robo de salario en esta organización. Michal trabajó en la ONG durante casi un año y medio, con un falso contrato de auto-empleo porque la ONG no quería hacer sus contribuciones a la sanidad y la seguridad social. Hace unos cuantos meses, M. decidió marcharse y firmaron un acuerdo dando por terminada su “cooperación”. La ONG reconoció que debía pagarle 950 euros, pero no ha pagado todavía. M. intentó muchas veces conseguir su dinero. Finalmente, Priama akcia visitó a la ONG demandando el pago. En vez de pagar lo que debía, el abogado de la ONG los amenazó.
Priama akcia está haciendo un llamamiento a individuos y organizaciones para que apoyen los esfuerzos para conseguir el pago de los largos atrasos de M.
