Anarcho-syndicalists worldwide against Santander Bank

New IWA day of action against repression and outsourcing in Santander Bank, Isban and Panel Sistemas.

Last June 5th, a new day of international and class solidarity against Emilio Botín's multinationals took place. Several sections of the IWA showed that the real unionism is the workers themselves without leaders, horizontally organized, and without public or private subsidies.

This is the fourth international day of action supported by the IWA unions, since the conflict started in August 2013 by Madrid CNT-AIT Union of Telecommunications and Computer Services.

During the conflict, hundreds of solidarity actions took place in 13 different countries, including pickets, symbolic occupation of bank branches, cast of thousands leaflets, faxing, and e-mails and other boycott actions.

Open Conflict with Portinox

The CNT-AIT in Spain informs that there is still an open conflict with Portinox company, part of the Teka Group, due to the dismissal of the union delegate in Granada for union activity. The International Workers' Association supports the demands for immediate reinstatement of the delegate.

We inform both Portinox and the Teka group that we have no tolerance for union busting firms and companies which take such reprisals against union members. You may expect continued protests against your firm until the situation is resolved.

Conflicto Abierto con Portinox

La CNT-AIT de España informe que hay un conflicto abierto con la empresa Portinox, perteneciente al grupo Teka, debido al despido del delegado sindical de CNT Granada despedido por realizar su labor sindical en esta empresa. La Asociación Internacional de los Trabajadores apoya las demandas para la readmisión inmediata del delegado.

Informamos tanto Portinox y el grupo Teka que no tenemos ninguna tolerancia para la represión sindical y este tipo de represalias. Ustedes pueden esperar protestas continuas contra su empresa hasta que se resuelva la situación.

Solidarität mit den Arbeiter_innen des Belchatow Krankenhauses

Die Beschäftigten des Krankenhauses von Belchatow kämpfen um ihre Arbeitsplätze. Krankenhäuser in ganz Polen lagern Dienstleistungen wie Putzen und Kochen vermehrt in andere Unternehmen aus. Dabei verschlechtern sich für die ausgelagerten Arbeiter_innen die Arbeitsbedingungen und sie geraten in eine prekäre Situation.

Im Krankenhaus von Belchatow wurden die genannten Arbeitsbereiche bereits outgesourct. Das Krankenhaus wird von Neoliberalen der herrschenden Partei geführt und seit längerem gibt es Repressionen gegen Gewerkschaften. (Unser Genosse wurde wegen Gewerkschaftsaktivitäten entlassen.) Aber die Mainstream-Gewerkschaften haben kein Interesse an den outgesourcten Arbeiter_innen. Die ZSP schon.

Trabajadoras de Hospital inician acciones para recuperar sus trabajos y su dignidad

A finales de abril, 60 mujeres se encontraron de repente desempleadas del hospital de Belchatow. Desde entonces, un amplio grupo de ellas ha estado luchando para que se les devuelvan sus empleos.

Las mujeres ya habían sido subcontratadas en el hospital y habían estado trabajando a través de una empresa llamada Cooperativa para Discapacitados “Naprzod”. Esta empresa no es una cooperativa en sentido normal sino una firma que explota a gente discapacitada, principalmente mujeres, a lo largo de toda Polonia. El contratista del hospital fue cambiado por otra empresa llamada “Dozorbud” y “Naprzod” afirmó que las trabajadoras habían sido transferidas a la nueva empresa. Pero Dozorbud no aceptó a la mayoría de ellas a la hora de trabajar, buscando en cambio personas sin cualificación ni experiencia. Presumiblemente, también sin contratos de trabajo y con salarios infra mínimos.

Desde entonces, las mujeres han estado haciendo sentadas en el hospital, demandando que se les devuelvan sus empleos.

Hospital Workers Take Action to Regain their Jobs and their Dignity

At the end of April, 60 women suddenly found themselves unemployed at the hospital in Belchatow. Since then, a large group of them have been fighting to get their jobs back.

The women had already been outsourced from the hospital and had been working there through a company called Cooperative for the Disabled „Naprzod”. This company is no cooperative in the normal sense, but a firm which exploits disabled people, mostly women, across Poland. The contractor at the hospital was changed to another firm called „Dozorbud” and „Naprzod” claimed that the workers had been transferred to the new company. But Dozorbud didn't take most of them to work, instead looking for new hires with no qualifications or experience. Presumably also without any work contracts and on subminimum wages.

Since then, the women have been sitting in at the hospital, demanding their jobs back.
