A week of action against unpaid wages will be held from October 12-18. 2020. The actions, which are organized by the International Workers' Association, will focus attention on this problem that workers around the globe face all too often.
The unions of the IWA have often been able to take successful action against various forms of wage theft. One of them is the ZSP. Hundreds of workers have been able to recover wages and other money they were entitled to through action with this union. On the occasion of the International Week of Action, we present the history of a few such cases which show different types of theft such as unpaid wages, underpaid wages, lack of overtime payments, lack of sick pay, vacation time or social security payments (to name the most common).

Al desembre de 2019, l'Associació Internacional de Treballadors (AIT) en el seu Congrés a Melbourne, Austràlia, va decidir promoure una Setmana Internacional contra els Salaris Impagats. Les seues Seccions van acordar dur a terme activitats durant la tercera setmana d'octubre per a cridar l'atenció sobre el fenomen generalitzat dels salaris impagats i les eines que tenim per a combatre'l. I és que si els treballadors i les treballadores treballarem és perquè se'ns pague, no per a enriquir voluntàriament als empresaris.
Im Dezember 2019 hat die Internationale Arbeiter*innen-Assoziation (IAA)
auf ihrem Kongress in Melbourne (Australien) die Ausrufung einer
„Internationalen Woche gegen nichtgezahlte Löhne“ beschlossen.
Die Mitgliedsorganisationen der IAA einigten sich darauf, in der dritten
Oktoberwoche verschiedene Aktivitäten vorzubereiten, um auf das weit

We live in a society where we have to work for money to survive. We need money for food, housing, education, healthcare but also for culture, recreation, leisure activities etc. Often, we struggle to cover all our costs, so when we aren’t paid for our work at all, the consequences are drastic for us and the people who rely on us. In response to this widespread phenomenon the International Workers’ Association (IWA) decided to set the third week of October as the International Week Against Unpaid Wages.
